A Great Way to Clear and Reduce Appearance of Pores
Hi everyone, I found out a method that clears my pores and am excited to share it with you. My friend is a skincare junkie and she showed me this. It worked well for her so I had to try it for myself. If you've tried this already, please let us know how it worked out for you in the comment section below!
How to Shrink Pores (Temporarily), Plus 3 Pore Myths
The post itself is detailed and for the most parts self-explanatory, but I'll add a few comments. There are three items that you need. If you're into Korean skincare, these are the items you would get (click on photos for closer look):
First step
According to one of my Korean friends living in South Korea, Paula's Choice is considered a good brand with many promotions there. I personally use Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant.
You can read more on the CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid by the same beauty blogger who posted on how to temporarily shrink pores.
Second step
I personally prefer the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask over the regular Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask because I get the impression that the first one is more concentrated in volcanic ingredients so it gets the job done better. I found a reddit thread that goes into more detailed explanation in case you're curious *cue SHINee's Sherlock*.
I also left links of Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque in tub and tube form just in case.
Third step
The TONYMOLY Egg Pore Blackhead Out Oil Gel and Skinfood Black Sugar Cleansing Oil were not mentioned in the original post but I use them since I already had them. Keep in mind that the packaging is cute for the TONYMOLY one but the amount of product you're getting is less than half the size of the egg container :P Even though the Banila Co Clean It Zero Original cleansing balm is slightly more expensive, it might be the better choice to buy what I have in getting the most bang for your buck.
An important note is that the first ingredient has to be mineral oil. It won't work if you use something that has water as first ingredient, such as Skinfood Green Tea Milk Cleansing Cream which lists water first and then mineral oil in its ingredients. I almost made that mistake.
In step 5, the post talks about grits coming out of your pores. This didn't happen for me or my friend, but this method is effective for us so it's okay if you don't feel the grits.
If you have any questions or want to let us know how this worked out for you, we'd love to hear from you in the comments!
